Eric Martin

Founder, Development Executive

Eric Martin is a writer and producer.

Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Martin has been writing since he could hold a pencil and telling stories since he could talk. Starting with journaling and having an active imagination, Martin put all his ideas on paper. At the tender age of 11, he decided he wanted to be a writer. Since then he has attended Cooperative Arts & Humanities Magnet High, a performing arts school he graduated from in 2011 with a creative writing concentration.

After reading some of the television scripts Juwan had written, he wrote a series with Diamond Tillman and wrote and produced a short film with Juwan. It was because of this why he was asked to co-found Switch Up Entertainment.

As of May 2023, Martin holds a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Higher Ed. HE has dreams of sharing his passion for words with the world to foster the dreams of the many young writers to come. He currently teaches at his alma mater, North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where he also is the LGBTA Resource Center Coordinator.

As a development executive, he is responsible for reading scripts and finding and developing potential material that can be adapted into content. Additionally, he oversees all productions created or acquired by Switch Up Entertainment.
