Juwan Chambers is a writer, director, producer, actor, and podcaster from Queens, NY. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Switch Up Entertainment. As CEO, he is responsible for all decisions, establishing a vision for the company, and supervising all departments and productions.

 

Since he was a toddler, Juwan was fond of writing, acting, and singing. He was set on becoming a singer, but the filmmaking bug bit him. At age 9, Chambers was inspired to do the same and he taught himself how to write screenplays and how the industry worked.

 

He attended Triton Regional High School where he was the Student Director of his school musical for 2 years. In 2014, to hone his skills as a filmmaker, he decided to go to collegeIn 2016, while at college, he began approaching what is now his executive team to form Switch Up Entertainment. In May 2018, Chambers graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and a minor in Sociology.

Since starting Switch Up Entertainment, he has directed, written, and produced 3 short films, 1 feature-length documentary, 2 web series under the Switch Up imprint, which has amassed over 55,000 views on YouTube and counting and received praise. His 2nd short film, 1 IN 71, garnered acclaim from viewers, was a semi-finalist at the 2018 Trinity International Film Fest, and awarded him the 2020 Nov/Dec Best Director Platinum Award at the Mindfield Film Festival - Albuquerque. He also made it to the quarterfinals of the MACRO Episodic Lab in September 2018.

 

As of 2020, Juwan is working to make Switch Up Entertainment a major player in Hollywood, where he can continue to deliver entertaining and compelling content and become one of the industry's biggest multi-hyphenates, so he can leave the industry better than he found it.
